Absolutely the best strawberry pie I have ever tasted! I made this one tonight and it was superb! We usually use cool whip or whipped cream on our strawberry pie, but with the cream cheese mixture on the bottom of the crust, it makes the pie extra special. Everyone must try this one, simple and delicious!! YUM!

TRIPLE Yummm! I can't believe how easy, pretty and how FABULOUS tasting this is! I doubled the amount of cream cheese (just Because). However, be warned that this is very VERY sweet (and I'm a sweet freak). I wonder if you cut the sugar to 3/4 Cup or less for the glaze + perhaps substituted red food coloring for the jello, if the glaze would still "thicken"? I will try that next time. Meanwhile, this is going to become one of THE summertime desserts at our house!

I made this to bring to my sister-in-laws for Easter. Everyone loved it! This is the first time I was not offered any deserts to bring home! The only thing I did differently was I used a premade Graham-cracker crust because I was in such a rush and I brushed it with a little egg white to keep it together and give it a glaze. Very gooooood!

I made 2 of these last night for our huge picnic down by the lake today with about 11 other friends. I used the graham cracker crusts. The flavor was really really awesome, but I had a problem with the glaze. After adding the jello, I let it sit awhile to cool. For a long while! Then I put it in the fridge for over 2 hours and it was still hot. (By this time it was 3:30 am.) I ended up putting the hot glaze over the strawberries and left them in the fridge for 9 hours and the tops were runny. I'm guessing it's because the glaze was too hot when I poured it on. I was just wondering about how long you have to wait to let it cool down. I hope this does not deter anyone from trying this. Although we left these at home, to firm up some, we tried them later and they were so wonderfully delicious!! I would recommend them to anyone...in fact, my brother wants me to make some for his wedding in 10 days! So, thank you Miss Annie, for this recipe! I'm sure I was just clutzy and did something wrong! These were the best strawberry pies I have ever eaten!! YUM!!

What a beautiful pie! I used an almond/shortbread type crust and left the strawberries whole for a nice presentation. This pie is a lot like the one they serve at Luby's cafeteria but with the added touch of cream cheese.

Terrific recipe! I made this for Easter dinner's dessert. This is an easy recipe with great results. The pie's appearance is super red and full of fresh strawberry appeal. The cream cheese in the bottom of the crust is a neat touch and adds a special something. Definitely a keeper!

This pie is the first strawberry pie I have ever made...and it was super easy to make! I, as well as my husband, mom, and dad, LOVE this pie:) It is probably the best pie I have tasted and is my new favorite pie to make! You will not regret making this pie!

I think this is the best strawberry pie I have ever had. I made it for a gathering and it was gone within 5 minutes. I did not use the Karo syrup as I had none but I did not notice anything different. I packed it with sliced thick berries. I did not have a problem with it being too thick. I had hoarded a piece for myself and put it away. The next day the crust was soggy but the rest of it was delicious. So eat it the day you make it. I topped it with whip cream mixed with a bit of powdered sugar and almond flavoring. So, so good. Thank you for sharing. I am going to make it again right now!!!!!!

This was okay. It is your typical strawberry pie heavy on the strawberry jello flavor. That would have made it 3 stars. The addition of the cream cheese and powdered sugar spread on the crust was great. I use that concept with other fruit pies. That is why I gave it four stars. I added the cream cheese "frosting" to the Icebox Strawberry Pie recipe also in Recipezaar and it was amazing. Thanks for the idea and the post.

This was delicious pie! Once the glaze started to boil it thickened up nicely. I put that mixture in the freezer for about 10 minutes to cool off a little. I had about 1/2 cup that wouldn't fit in my store-bought deep dish pie crust, but it tasted great without it. Thanks for posting this, we really enjoyed it!

This is absolutely the most fabulous strawberry cheesecake pie I have ever tasted! I will never have to look for any other recipe for fresh strawberry pie ever again. I did double the cream cheese and added the powdered sugar to taste. So presentable to serve!

This is very, very yumpy strawberry pie. My 10 year old daughter made it for her "Daddy" for Father's Day, and her Daddy as well as everyone else in the household LOVED it! We actually used a Tenderflake "chocolate" pie crust, and it was awsome! We had no trouble getting the syrup mix to set. It worked great. Thanks so much for the great recipe, it's a great one for sure!!

I have been trying to find a good Strawberry Pie recipe. I picked this one because of the cream cheese in it. I also picked it because it said Amish, and they normally make really good bakery. Sadly, this one was disgusting! Everyone that ate a piece felt the same. I am not a newbie to baking, or pie making. This was not complicated to make at all. I let it set all night and did not have it till the next evening. It set somewhat, but when cut into the pie it did not stay in pie shape. This is the first ever pie I had that was somewhat runny. The jello was a really strange mix with the strawberries. No one seemed to like the somewhat set, but not set fully wannabe jello mixed with strawberries at all. It just was really strange. The texture, the taste. Just a big mess! Will not be making this again.

My partner loved it - and she hates pies, so that says a lot. I love that it used less jello than other recipes - I really wanted to showcase the lovely berries we picked. Also, the cream cheese is a nice addition - I love that there's not too much of it again - making the berries the star of the show.

I made this for a cookout last weekend, and it was a huge hit. I, myself, prefer rich, chocolatey desserts instead, but everyone else LOVED this! I think I may have let the glaze thicken a little too much... Next time I'll try to do better. I did add a little extra of the cream cheese layer. I used 4 oz. of cream cheese and about 1 1/2 tablespoons of powdered sugar. Everyone agreed that it's the cream cheese layer that makes it special. Thank you!
