  • on the three large eggs, you will need to seperate and beat yolks and whites in seperate bowls.
  • Mix together sugar, flour, cloves and cinnamon.
  • Add butter, beaten egg yolks and milk.
  • In a seperate mixing bowl, beat 3 egg whites till peaks form.
  • Fold this into first mixture.
  • Pour into 2 unbaked pie shells and bake at 350* till set.

  1. My mom grew up with the Amish and we 23 kids were raised similar but not Amish. She use to make this for me once a year, at Thanksgiving. My most favorite pie in the world. I lost her recipe years ago after her passing. Thank you so much for bringing back some great memories and this all time favorite pie recipe. Bless!
     
  2. I'm not sure if my recipe is the same or not, but Bob Andy is my favorite pie! My dad was raised Amish and my recipe is from his family. So nice to see it on a website!

I love cooking, and reading Christian fiction..I have 5 grandchildren..4 boys and 1 spoiled granddaughter...I also have a black cocker spaniel named Tobey..who is very spoiled..Love computer games, cross stitch and reading cookbooks..I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia almost a year ago, on September 26, 2005....was in an out of the hospital for 8 months, doing intensive chemo...I am doing well now, thanks for all the prayers...
