Combinations of mustard and honey in recipes date as far back to the Romans where it was a popular basting sauce for meat on spits roasted over open fires. There are many types of mustards so feel free to change out the mustard listed in the recipe and use another.
- 1⁄2 cup yellow mustard or 1⁄2 cup brown mustard
- 1⁄4 cup honey
- 1⁄4 cup olive oil
- 1⁄2 tablespoon lemon juice
- In a blender or a glass jar, combine ingredients until mixture comes together. Chill. Mix again if mixture separates before serving.
