I would definitely make these brownies again. The brownies are slightly different from a "typical" brownie. The texture of the brownies reminded me of a cross between a cake and brownie. The brownies were less dense and had the moistness of a cake. I will definitely make these again and try the peanut butter suggestion.

I pureed half an apple in my vita mix for the apple sauce. Once the batter was in the pan I topped it with some creamy peanut butter. then swirled it into the batter.Very good.

Sorry, I hate to be the person who brings down the rating, but these brownies didn't turn out for me at all. I double checked the amounts, as sometimes I am clumsy with that sort of thing and I was correct with the amounts, but when I mixed the wet and dry, the batter was so dry! The brownies came out really thick and powdery tasting like cocoa. I was hoping this recipe would work as it sounds healthy and is really easy to put together, but it didn't work for me. Sorry.

Very Fast. Very Easy, and the family loved them. Thank-you for a great (and cheap) recipe. Had all the ingredients at home! Will try the peanut butter suggestion, the next time. Jayman
