Amazing Peanut Butter Cookies

"I took a basic peanut butter cookie recipe (#10269, thank you Christine) and jazzed it up to try and please my picky 17 year old step-son. The entire family loved them. They are awesome when warm, crunchy when cool."

• Yields: 60-72 cookies

ingredients

• 1 cup butter
• 1 cup crunchy peanut butter
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 2 1⁄2 cups sifted flour
• 1 1⁄2 teaspoons baking soda
• 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
• 1 cup pecans, chopped
• 1⁄2 cup toffee pieces
• 1⁄2 cup peanut butter chips

directions

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2. Cream the first six ingredients.
3. Sift and add flour, salt, and baking soda to creamed ingredients.
4. Mix well.
5. Stir in pecans, chips, and toffee.
6. Drop teaspoon sized balls onto cookie sheet and press down.
7. Bake 12-13 minutes.
