Delicious! I opted not to put the almonds on top of the whipped cream in the coffee as there is one thing I don't like is "lumps" in my coffee! Made for the Winter 2010 Comfort Cafe.
Made the coffee double strength then added ice, then the Amaretto, whip cream and almonds. They are really delicious on these hot summer nights and days!
I really loved the flavor of the coffee and Amaretto together! I really wasn't sure about the almonds though, since a lot of them sank to the bottom of the cup. Just tickle me indulgent this morning for breakfast. It is Saturday after all and it is my birthday weekend. I had this with my omelet and it was great. Like Nancy, I also subbed hazelnuts for the slivered almonds. We're just chatting and cookin' together this morning even though we're hundreds of miles apart. How cool is that? I forgot how much I love coffee drinks! Wonderful! I used a bit of hazelnut syrup and sprinkled the top with hazelnuts rather than almonds. What a Saturday morning treat this was! ZWT4 in Italy with the Babes.
Perfection. I made 2 of these after dinner for my husband and myself - only change was to make the coffee double-strength and do an iced version as it's too hot to drink this any other way. Amaretto and coffee are a perfect combo.

Yumm!! I love this coffee! And it is very pretty with the slivered almonds on the whipped cream. I might just have one more!
A delicious and simple "special coffee" I had it during a nice relaxing bath..i think its what helped my sore back too :)
