Alpine Latte

"I found a cowboy cocktail book at a used book sale and this is one of the coffee recipes from it. The description in the book says, sweet, soothing and smooth as a baby's bottom, it also packs quite a punch! LOL"

  1. Fantastic blending of flavors. The almonds all sink to the bottom of the cup and then you get to fish them out for a lovely flavored munch when the coffee is gone. Finishing the coffee can take awhile because you'll want to sip and savor as you go, making it last. Mine was cold by the time I was near the bottom but still tasted just as good. Bravo Mandy!

  2. I've been enjoying these coffee drinks lately on the tour, this one just as good as the others. I call it my Mommy Morning Treat. wink. wink. I had some leftover whipped cream from dessert the other night so I did this all up, even the almonds to garnish. Thanks, Mandy! Made for ZWT4.

  3. YUM! I made this because of my teammate in ZWT4 Boomette's review for favorite tour recipes! She's right! It's absolutely wonderful and I am enjoying it immensely right this very moment! Sorry I didn't take a picture because it just isn't pretty without the whipping cream and I left that part off in an attempt to save calories.

  4. This is delicious! I love coffee drinks and was searching for something nice to make after dinner. I cut back on the Amaretto as I am not a big fan of it but the Frangelico is wonderful in this coffee! I will definitely be making this again!

  5. After reading some of the reviews, I cut back on the liqueurs a bit and the result was yummy! I could just picture myself of the ski slopes, actually in the lodge :) Made for ZWT 4 by a Jefe!

Melbourne I live on a 5 acre property in the Dandenong Ranges Victoria, Australia, having moved from the burbs when I became pregnant with my now 15 year old daughter Alyssa. Once my daughter was born I became a stay at home mum as I couldn't bear the thought of putting her in daycare. She is the light of my life, I never imagined myself as a mum when younger but now wouldn't have it any other way. Alyssa was made a big sister on the 19th April 2010 when our cheeky little boy Blake was born. I love cooking and experimenting with new recipes so quickly become addicted to Zaar as it was previously known & still use it regularly. In addition to being my kids taxi  I also spend my time, reading, gardening and of course shopping. I'm lucky enough that we have the space & so love growing our own fruits, vegies & herbs, this also means we have plenty of room for animals & at the moment have 2 dogs, Max, a Jackshund who's 6, Fletcher, a Kelpie who's 4, 6 cats Snowpea, Fergus, Ginger, Tango, Annie & Cookie, 4 chooks & 2 Ducks. As well as our pets, we also have a lot of native animals around our area, we have kangaroos, wombats, echidna's, possums as well as rosella's, galah's & Cockatoo's hence the name of where I live..
