I love love love this. I had to use ground ginger since the grocery store was out of fresh but this is such a great & easy recipe. It is now a go-to meal for me. Love it. Thanks.
I liked this a lot. The only thing I would do differently would be to add the mandarin oranges at the end--maybe for the last 30 minutes of cook time--because they completely disintegrated. But I loved the citrus flavors! Thanks for the simple, delicious recipe!
I took the reviewer's advice and added the mandarin oranges during the last half-hour. I just don't have any luck with slow-cooker recipes... they always end up tasting like they've had the life cooked out of them. I thought this one would be different because of the fruit and I really wanted to like it. It was slightly more flavorful than others I've tried, but not enough to make me make it again. Sorry.
