  1. I’ve made my tacos like this for years. It’s a nice change. But the kids really liked it! A lot more easier for them to eat than regular tacos. Thanks

  2. This is how my Mom always made tacos when I was growing up. The can of refried beans! I haven’t made them like that in awhile. Thanks for the reminder.

  3. I gave this three stars because it didn't really seem like a new recipe to try; rather, just an addition of refried beans into your basic taco. I liked the suggestion, but the mixture tasted VERY salty, even without the directed addition of more salt. I then tried to dilute it a bit with water, hoping to take some of the saltiness away. That helped, and the refried beans gave the meat more substance. Nothing to rave about, but definitely more filling than a typical taco.

  4. My family gave this 5 stars! We also topped it with taco bell sauce. I don't know if they taste like taco bell, but they were very tasty and I will make them again! Thanks ChickNpie for a yummy recipe! Made for PAC Spring 2009.

Tweaks

  1. I posted before these were my childhood tacos my Mom made. Only difference she would skillet fry corn tortillas for fresh taco shells. I used my deep fryer last night for corn and flour tortillas. Last tortilla in my fryer died. Just happy I got them made.
