It's unanimous my whole family gave this one 5 stars. We love KFC coleslaw and this one is the closest to it. I looked at the other KFC recipe and decided to try yours because it has tarragon in it and KFC's coleslaw does have tarragon in it. Thanks so much this one is definitely worth repeating.

My husband said to make this from now on! We all loved this. I scaled it down to feed 4 people and there were no leftovers! I used basil vinegar instead of tarragon cause that's all that I had, and since I didn't have buttermilk, I just added a little vinegar to regular milk. Worked like a charm! Thanks so much!!!

This is a winner, Ginny. I've never made cole slaw before, so this was a first. And it's also the last. The last recipe I'll ever need for cole slaw! :) We loved it! I had tarragon vinegar that I was dying to use in something. So easy to make, but so delicious! Thanks Ginny!

Ginny, this was scrumpdillyicious! Ok, that may not be a real word, but this is a great recipe. I loved just the hint of tarragon from the vinegar. This was a great accompaniment to Pulled Pork Sandwiches -- a real winner. Thanks for sharing it.

This is SO close to KFC's! My family went crazy for it, and with a salad shooter the chopping is done in minutes! The only thing I did differently was grate the onion instead of mincing it! Absolutely fantastic! Thanks for sharing this special little gem Ginny!

Great recipe for coleslaw, very easy and delicious. I only used 3 tablespoons of sugar, but I like it less sweet. Thank you!

My first time making coleslaw, so this was fun. Had no idea it was this easy!!! Next time I will decrease the amount of onion and sugar. I also added a little green pepper (personal preference). Nice creamy and sweet coleslaw.

Like another reviewer, I'm having a hard time refrigerating the required time because it tastes great immediately. So easy to assemble too. Thanks for perfecting cole slaw, Ginny P. Hope there is some left for dinner in 3-4 hours!

An easy way to get the vegetables cut into KFC's tiny rice-sized pieces is in the blender. Just cut the cabbage, carrots and onion into large chunks and fill the blender about 3/4 full, then fill 3/4 full with water. Secure the lid well and pulse several times until the contents are the size you want. Pour through a strainer, and repeat with the remainder of the cabbage. Let it drain for 10 minutes or so, stirring a couple of times to make sure all the water drains off. You can do this with packaged cole slaw mix too if you want to get the pieces smaller. Very easy and saves a lot of chopping.

This was a tasty slaw, and though I'm not good at comparing CopyCat type recipes to the original thing unless I've got them side by side, DH said it was really really close, and he liked it 'cause he said it was creamier than KFC slaw. I agree with whoever said the onion was too strong. Next time I'll just put in 1 tablespoon 'cause I'm not a big fan of onion. Otherwise it was easy to make and tasted good. I bought a bag of slaw mix and gave a little extra chopping to make the pieces smaller and more KFC-like.

I personally like oil and vinegar type of coleslaws, but tried this and was very pleased. I used a 1 lb. bag of coleslaw mix from the store, so that the pieces were a bit larger and the carrots were already in there. I also used some chopped scallion. I added some chopped tarragon to vinegar. It tasted really good, and we definitely did not get 10 servings out of it - ate it all in a couple of sittings!

Very good cole slaw. I did not have tarragon vinegar so I used white wine vinegar and a sprinkle of tarragon. Also soured the milk with lemon juice instead of using buttermilk. Will definitely make this again!

This was excellent!! There seems to be a problem with the instructions though. #4 says I have to wait 3-4 hours, but that was pretty much impossible because it was soooo good.

Very good. It was very good served with chicken fingers. Excellent fresh, although it did not seem to keep for long in the fridge. I will definitely make again.
