This is a real easy I am too tired to cook recipe. We don't have a rice cooker so I use a sauce pot (3 quart).
- 2 cups of sliced cabbage (or more)
- 1 cup raw rice
- 1⁄2 cup water
- bell pepper, chopped
- onion, chopped
- tony creole seasoning, to taste (optional)
- 1 (10 ounce) can Rotel Tomatoes
- 1 lb ground beef, raw
- Layer as listed in rice cooker.
- When bell goes off it is ready.
Margie, I am always looking for recipes for my Rice cooker,They are so easy to make.Thank you for this one.It was very easy and tasted so good. My husband ate 3 helpings. We love cabbage so I did use twice as much cabbage as it called for,but I also used more rice,so I used 2 cans of tomatoes. It was a great recipe.Thanks. Darlene Summers
I love the taste of cabbage rolls but hate the work involved. I am giving this 5 stars because using a rice cooker like this totally blows my mind. It was SO easy and I can't wait to adapt other recipes to the rice cooker. I think the recipe was lacking something (hot sauce, salt, butter, something....) but like I said, it deserves 5 stars because it is so easy and simple and good! Can't wait to try it again and tweak it to my tastes.
I wasn't too sure about this recipe. I was really unsure about the raw hamburger meat! I couldn't believe how good it looked when I opened the pot and then it tasted great! Easy, good and cheap to fix!
