Yikes! This recipe was WAY too sweet. I should have known when I saw it called for evaporated milk AND 1 cup of sugar! The end result was nothing like the almond jello of Chinese restaurants...It was so incredibly heavy and sweet that it was inedible. Also, the recipe should caution that adding gelatin improperly results in gelatin clumps. Will not make again.

This is a very nice cool refreshing dessert, the almond with the peaches and pears were really good, next time I am going to try with mandarin oranges. Made half the recipe, and I just dice up a bit of the jello and then add my fruit with juice in each bowl as needed. Nice will make again.

I love this recipe! I used to order this as a dessert at my favorite chinese restaurant. This is a very nice version, prounounced almond flavor but so light and smooth.
