  • Preheat the oven to 325°F.
  • Cream the butter and sugar together then add the egg yolk and almond extract, blend well.
  • Add the flour, mix well to combine then stir in the nuts.
  • Form the dough into small crescents about 2 1/2 inches long.
  • Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet for 15-20 minutes or until lightly browned.
  • Cool for 10 minutes and then dust with powdered sugar if desired.
