Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 12 cups sugar, granulated
  • 2 teaspoons sugar, granulated (reserved for topping)
  • 12 cup butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons almond extract
  • 1 12 cups flour, all-purpose
  • 34 cup sliced almonds

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Add melted butter to sugar.
  3. Stir in eggs and extract.
  4. Add flour until well blended.
  5. Pour into greased 9-inch cake pan.
  6. Srinkle reserved 2 teaspoons of sugar and sliced almonds evenly over the top.
  7. Bake for 40 minutes.
  8. NOTE: REMOVE after 40 minutes. A toothpick will NOT come out clean!
