Tea tree oil is usually available in the beauty section of your local health food store. It is a natural fungicide and smells great! From Vegetarian Times magazine.

Directions

  1. Mix in a spray bottle. Spray on affected area. Let sit for 10 minutes and wipe away. Repeat as necessary.

Oh, gotta love that tea tree oil! Helps with acne, congestion, cuts...and now mildew!! Woohoo, who knew?!? Note that this is not a bleaching product, so there may be some color left where the mildew was. But the fungus will be dead. That said, I found that if I let it sit long enough some of the color disintegrated. I was running all over my house spraying this today, so now it smells so good LOL. There are so many places to use this, especially if you live in a humid area like I do...think shower curtains, under toilet seats, you name it! AND you don't have to worry about it interacting with your other cleansers. Thanks for posting, Prose :). Made for Veg*n Swap 11.
