All Natural Hot Chocolate Mix

While waiting in the dentist's office one day, I came across this recipe. What I like about it is that it contains no chemical- laden coffee whiteners or chocolate drink mixes to make it good. It's all-natural.

• Total Time: 10 mins
• Prep Time: 10 mins
• Cook Time: 0 mins

Ingredients:

Yield: 5.5 cups

• 2 1/2 cups non-fat powdered milk
• 2 cups icing sugar
• 1 cup cocoa
• 2 teaspoons cornstarch
• 1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions:

1. Using food processor, combine all ingredients thoroughly until no lumps or visible bits of brown or white can be seen.
2. To make: Combine 1/3 cup mix to 2/3 cup boiling water.

This was just perfect for DD, she does not like the flavors found in the "exotic" chocolates, so this was just right for her tastes. Simple to make, I used Splenda instead of the sugar and it was plenty sweet for us! Thanks Boyz 5, we loved it! Made for Comfort Cafe, Jan 2009.

Thanks for the recipe! Everyone has their own idea of what makes a good cup of hot chocolate. For me, this recipe works. I have tried so many other recipes and have been disappointed. The best part is.....it's chemical free.
