All-in-One Pot Saucy Pasta

I found this recipe in a Kraft What's Cooking magazine and thought that it looked really good, and since I love quick supper ideas, this one wins in my books.

This was wonderful. I used 4 cups of my own spagetti sauce recipe #171705, elbow macaroni... I did leave out the mushrooms. It was an easy recipe and with a very flavorful spagetti sauce there is no need to add additional spices. This will be a regular in our house! Thanks for posting it.

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 12 cups water
  • 1 (680 ml) jarof your favourite pasta sauce
  • 3 cups uncooked pasta (the original recipe calls for rotini)
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup shredded cheese


  1. Brown ground beef and onion in large frying pan.
  2. Add water, pasta sauce, and pasta.
  3. Bring to a boil and cover.
  4. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add mushrooms and continue cooking for 5 minutes.
  6. Stir in cheese.
