I found this in the 2012 version of the "Taste of Home" cookbook. It was submitted by Heather Bonser of Laurel Montana.
- 1⁄2 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons dried onion flakes
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon ground mustard
- 1⁄2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1⁄8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- Mix all ingredients and store in an airtight container for up to 6 months.
- Rub over steaks, pork or chicken; refrigerate up to 4 hours before grilling or broiling.
