Agua De Valencia - Knock Your Socks off Spanish Cava Punch!

Valencia is true orange growing country, and this recipe is based on fresh orange juice, which is best - try not to use carton or bottled orange juice. And beware, this innocuous-sounding drink is strong! It must be served ice cold - if Cointreau is not available or too expensive - use a local orange liqueur.

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 750 ml spanish sparkling wine (Cava)
  • 12 liter fresh orange juice
  • Cointreau liqueur
  • ice cube


  1. Put some ice cubes into a large jug and pour over lots of orange juice. Now add the bottle of cava.
  2. Once the fizz subsides, stir in a good dash of the cointreau and it´s ready to serve.
  3. Makes about 2 pints.

I loved this. I used store bought orange juice, though. It was like a mimosa. I made this for ZWT5.

Loved this! I had a handful of fresh Valencia's, almost enough, but did use a little bit of cartoned juice. I drank two (large) glasses yesterday and two more today. Naughty I know, but it is the weekend! Thanks French Tart! Made for the Saucy Senoritas ZWT5.

Pretty hard t o to give this one a 5 stars. Had all the good stuff in it...freshly squeezed orange juice and cointreau. I made this for WT 5 and we loved it.Thanks for posting
