Aggression Cookies

"Need to get some aggression out, but not a bread making person? Try these!! Also great for kids! Suggestion: Try using other flavors of chips (butterscotch, peanut butter, etc.), or even dried fruit (raisens, etc.) for a variety of different cookies!!"

  1. I made this as directed and it was perfect. Then I made it vegan/gluten free for my daughter and it was still delicious. The first try was was too thin. The 2nd try was thicker but a bit too crumbly. My daughter still loved them.

  2. These cookies are absolutely SUPERB!!! They are oaty, chocolaty, crumbly and crunchy! I luv them! Ive never made oatmeal cookies with chocolate before, but I really like it. Ill surely make this recipe again as I have lots of friends who like cookies, but hate raisins. :) I made 1/6 of the recipe and reduced the sugar to 30 g (1.5 tbs), cause the chocolate offered enough sweetness for my taste. My dough was very easy to work with and not dry at all although I reduced the butter a tad. Neither were the cookies. They were just scrumptious! To let go of even more aggression I flattened the cookies by hand, thats why they stayed quite ballish. ;) I ended up with exactly 1 dozen cookies. THANKS SO MUCH for sharing this treat with us, iewe! Made and reviewed for Everyday Is A Holiday Tag Game September 09.

  3. I read the reviews before making these cookies and then did a search on the web too to try to figure out why these cookies have so many problems. Well it is just the type of cookie - there is nothing wrong per se with your recipe - just like the others - but actually it is a very dry and crumbly cookie by nature. I made a half batch and used butter and applesauce in place of the margarine. That helped the dough stay together and the cookies are not crumbly at the end but they are still pretty dry in the end and not full of any one flavor either which is strange. Sorry iewe - just did not work out for our family.

  4. I looked at all the aggression cookies on Zaar and they all had reviews that said they were too crumbly. I made a 2/3 batch and added 3 eggs (would use 2 next time for the 2/3 batch). This really helped to bring it together. My 5 yo had a blast learning how to knead. I accidentally put in baking powder b4 I realized it, so it has both powder and soda. I cooked for 14-16 minutes and cooled on racks. With the Pamp. Chef cookie scoop it made close to 6 dozen (for the 2/3 batch). The taste isn't bad, but I think it needs vanilla and/or salt. I did use Sucanat for the brown sugar, so I may try it with brown sugar next time. Thanks for a fun time for my kids! Tagged in Kid Friendly Tag. UPDATE: Everyone else that tried it loved it and said it doesn't need anything. So it gets 4 stars! :)

  5. Decided to make these on a lark as most of the ingredients are always in my kitchen and I had some loose bits of chips to use up. I don't keep margarine so I used butter instead. For the chips I had butterscotch and jumbo chocolate chunks. I guess my mood was only mildly aggressive as I made a third of a batch (the perfect portions make this a very easy recipe to half or third). The dough was easy to put together and it was fun working through with my fingers. The cookies were absolutely delicious and eagerly consumed. They were I should note very tender and crumbly, so much so I needed to cool them for five minutes on the baking sheet before taking them to the rack. One taster commented that they were too messy, but this was during his fourth cookie so that needs to be considered with a wink. I am not giving this a stared rating as I'm not sure if this was the result of using butter or the recipe itself. A keeper and I will go get a little margarine for next time. Thanks iewe!

I am the mother of three, wife of one :) My teenager is the pickiest eater in the world, while my 3 year old will eat anything (though has been acting more and more fickle lately). Our newest addition was born in June 2008, so she doesn't really know much in the way of varieties of food. My husband says "I don't care what you fix, as long as it has meat in it." I have thousands of recipes saved on my computer from over the years, and am constantly on the lookout for new ones. I also seem to have accumulated hundreds of cookbooks over the years. I am (slowly) trying to go thru all the recipes I have saved and add them to 'Zaar, but this will take some time. I try to only post things that my family (or I) will eat (though I haven't necessarily yet tried every recipe I have posted). <img src="http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y53/DUCHESS13/cookbookswap.jpg"> <img src="http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y53/DUCHESS13/Zaar%20World%20Tour%203/ZWT3-Participation.gif"> <img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/captain.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"> <img src="http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t237/akplongmeadow/ZWT3b.jpg"> <img src="http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b280/carolinamoon21/Stockingswapcopy.jpg"> <img src="http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w115/bugh8er/food%20and%20swaps/4811_39528.png" border="0" alt="Photobucket"> <img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/Adopted1smp.jpg" border="0" alt="Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket"> <img src="http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a132/tgifford/Game%20Room%20Banners/AM%20Banners/ZaarStar-AMBanner.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"> <img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/smPACp.jpg" border="0" alt="Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket"> <img src="http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y53/DUCHESS13/Zaar%20World%20Tour%204/ZWTAB-tg.gif"> <img src="http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a132/tgifford/Game%20Room%20Banners/AM%20Banners/potluckpbanner.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"> <img src="http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z205/jubespage/kid-friendlytag-participation2.gif"> <img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y164/lauralie41/cookbookswapspring08-2.jpg"> <img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/IWasAdoptedfall08.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"> <img src="http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj81/HokiesLady65/123HitAMpage.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"> <img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/PACfall08partic.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"> <img src="http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z205/jubespage/stacky5.jpg"> <img src="http://i497.photobucket.com/albums/rr336/jess4freedom/Zaar%20banners/Kid-Friendly-Tag.jpg"><img src="http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e110/flower753/Food/my3chefsnov2008.jpg"> <img src="http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a24/ohohkatie/MARCHTAG1.jpg"> <img src="http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg271/MrsTeny/Permanent%20Collection/PACSpring09Iwasadopted.jpg"> <img src="http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg271/MrsTeny/Permanent%20Collection/PACSpring09Participation.jpg"> <img src="http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j166/ZaarNicksMom/Animation6.gif"> <img src="http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j166/ZaarNicksMom/PACsticker-Adopted.jpg">
