directions

  • pour water into a medium sauce pan. Sprinkle gelatin over top and let stand for 2 minutes. Heat and stir over medium heat till gelatin is desolved. Remove from heat.
  • Add flavoring.
  • Add 2 cups icing sugar and baking powder, mix well.
  • Add 4 cups icing sugar and kneed with hands till creamy. It may be sticky so keep dusting hands with icing sugar.
  • Divide into 4 portions, Keep portions not being worked with covered with plastic wrap.
  • Roll into long cigar shape about a half inch in diameter.
  • Cut into 1/2 inch pieces with scisors and place on wax-paper lined baking sheet in a single layer.
  • Repeat with other portions and let stand 1 hour to set.
  • Store in plastic bags.
