A NZ classic biscuit from the Edmonds cookbook. The yield is a guess as I haven't made them for a while.
- Soften the butter, add sugar and beat to a cream.
- Add the flour and cocoa and lastly the cornflakes.
- Put spoonfuls on a greased oven tray and bake for about 15 minutes at 180 deg C.
- When cold, ice with chocolate icing and decorate with walnuts on top.
Afghans are great. I often make them with ricies (Rice Krispies) as I don't often buy cornflakes, I think they are even better.
Good old fashion kiwi cookie (or biscuit as we call them in new zealand)yummy chocolate with bits of cornflakes which I reckon taste better than rolled oats, very nice!
