From *The Art of Dutch Cooking* by C. Countess Van Limburg Stirum (some name, huh?), this is the 3rd version to be posted of this popular Dutch beverage normally served during the holiday season. *Enjoy*

Yum ! this is seriously good and so easy to make! I cut down the recipe to serve 2 and was surprised that my mixture didn't turn out nearly as yellow as I expected it to, but heck it still tasted good! The one thing I would do is to decrease the amount of sugar ever so slightly, since it was rather a tad sweet for our tastes. Do use vanilla extract and not vanilla essence if you can possibly help it, because it gives a wonderful balance and depth to the rest of the ingredients. Please see my rating system: 4 wonderful stars for a quick, easy and very tasty recipe. Thanks !
