Ingredients Nutrition

  • MARINADE

  • 1 12 cups chili powder (Santa Cruz is preferred)
  • 4 tablespoons crushed garlic
  • 6 ounces fresh lime juice
  • 4 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • NEW YORK STRIP

  • 6 well trimmed New York strip steaks, cut to 2-inch thick (I used round steak, 14-ounce)
  • salt & freshly ground black pepper

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients to form a paste.
  2. NEW YORK STRIP: Salt and pepper the meat.
  3. Rub liberally with adovado marinade.
  4. Grill to desired temperature.
