Yep! It's the best lasagna ever! I think we have a new tradition for Christmas dinner. I assembled it yesterday. I used 1lb. of ground turkey and 1lb. of spicy pork sausage, cottage cheese and added a little more seasoning to that mixture, crushed tomatoes instead of whole. I only had one can of tomato paste, and used no boil noodles. I added about a up and a half of water to the sauce as per the directions on noodle package . I like sauce on the top, so I just saved some to use on top. I baked it covered for 1/2 hour and uncovered for 15 mins. It came out PERFECT! Thanks for sharing this fantastic recipe.

This is almost identical to our famly lasagna except you add oregano. My lasagna is amazing so with oregano it would be just as great. We're having lasagna for Christmas dinner.

Made this for dinner two nights ago and my husband and one year old son loved it. We are still eating the leftovers TWO days later.

I made this yesterday as a special meal for my husband since he came from abroad and wanted to pamper him with his favourite dish :) It was more delicious than I expected and it really deserves more than 5 stars. I made some adjustments as per below but it turned out just as wonderful:
1. instead of Italian sausage, I used Milan salami as I couldn't find
2. I used 1/4 lb. mozzarella for the ricotta filling as I didn't have enough
3. I prepared some white sauce using milk, margarine, salt and flour and topped the lasagne with it. I became super creamy and I only used about 2 table spoons of mozzarella on top of the sauce.
Simply delicious and I WOWWed my husband with it :)

Absolute best ever lasagna? YEP!!! Holy cow, so good! I used 1/2 cottage cheese and 1/2 ricotta, spinach. I added a little water to the sauce because I used oven ready noodles. This is now my go-to lasagna recipe.

Lasagna is my favorite dish and this is the best I've ever made - no contest! I used 1 lb of ground beef and 1 lb Italian sausage. I used cottage cheese. I added maybe a teaspoon of rosemary. It did stack up high and overflowed the pan a little in the oven, but I didn't even mind the mess. I baked it a little longer uncovered so the cheese would get good and melty on top. It was perfect!

I have made this several times and it has always been a bit hit, but last night a friend of ours who has the hardest time asking for anything in her life called me and said, do you know what i want for my birthday this year (normally the most depressing day in her life according to he). - no -- a tray of your lasagna -- that she could ask for it was amazing and it reminded me to say thank you -- sometimes food not only tastes good, but it heals.

A wonderful recipe. I love that there is enough sauce and enough cheese filling so that there is no skimping as you build the layers. I used turkey sausage and extra lean ground beef, and all the cheeses were lower fat. I also used whole wheat noodles. It would be great no matter what you used. This will be my go-to lasagna recipe.

Excellent Lasagna. Used ground corn & clover fed venison instead of ground beef and it turned out phenomenally. Thanks for sharing the recipe.

Made this today for dinner today and I have a husband who is a perfectionist who LOVED it. I omitted ricotta cheese and sausage. I added mushrooms, red and yellow bell peppers. It came out delicious. Thanks for the recipe.

Love it - it's the only recipe I'll use for Lasagna. I don't normally eat leftovers but this I look forward too. Thank you for sharing.

This was a terrific recipe. I used ricotta instead of cottage cheese and a 29 ounce can of diced tomatoes instead of a can of whole tomatoes that had to be diced. 'Will definitely make this dish over and over again!

This was a hit tonight. I served it with crusty french bread (#101476) with olive oil and herbs and it was delicious. Great meal. I ended up using 1 lb ground beef and 1 lb italian sausage. Other than that everything remained the same. I had enough cheese mixture and meat sauce left to cover the top layer of noodles with more of both and then topped with mozzarella. Lasagna is a great meal that just takes so much time, but it is worth it in the end.
