I found this recipe for baked chicken for my sister, Ann Blair, years ago online - I'm not sure if she ever made it, but I just came across it again, and thought I'd post - that way I might remember to try it!

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 (3 lb) whole chickens, cut up into pieces
  • 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 (1 1/4 ounce) package onion soup mix
  • 1 cup dry sherry

Directions

  1. Oven 350.
  2. Combine soup, soup mix, and sherry and pour over chicken parts.
  3. Cover and bake 1 hour.

This turned out to be a great easy recipe for me when I didn't feel like cooking. The sauce that the chicken cooked in turned out to be thick enough (which I had hoped) to spoon over mashed potatoes for a gravy that we had on the side. I used 4 chicken thighs and 4 legs that I removed the skin from and seasoned with salt, pepper and paprika before dumping the sauce over.
