Since I've been on a Smoothie kick, I wanted to make another one using berries. If you want you can use frozen or fresh berries. I use frozen. Add more honey if your berries are tart.
- 1 cup frozen blueberries
- 1 cup frozen sliced strawberries
- 1⁄3 cup honey
- 1 cup vanilla yogurt
- 1 cup 2% low-fat milk (more or less depending on how thick you want it.)
- strawberry (to garnish)
- blueberries (to garnish)
- whipped topping
- Combine all ingredients in blender, except garnish and whipped topping.
- Blend until smooth.
- Pour into glasses and add topping and berries for garnish.
The smell and taste was wonderful, but it got separated on the bottom and really clumpy. Next time I make this, I'll add a little more milk or something to prevent the clumping. Thanks for the recipe!
I was surprised how much I loved this smoothie! I used powdered sugar instead of honey. This is my favorite smoothie using yogurt. Thanks so much. I'll be making this often! Roxygirl
This was wonderful!! We made this as a treat the other night when the kids were complaining of sore throats. I used fresh strawberries because I had some leftover. Very yummy!!! Thanks for posting
