No Bake Cookies

"It's an excellent recipe using sugar, but as I can no longer have sugar, I need the content numbers using Splenda."

  • Mix together, Splenda, cocoa, milk and margarine.
  • Cook over medium heat until it starts to boil.
  • Remove from heat and cool 1 minute.
  • Add vanilla, salt, peanut butter and oats.
  • Stir well.
  • Drop by teaspoonfuls on to wax paper.

  1. Very easy to make, however they actually tasted terrible. Both my husband and myself tried them and thought they were so nasty that we ended up throwing the whole batch away. Definately would NOT recommend. Cookies were very crumbly and I too had to form them by hand. Would not recommend!
     
  2. This cookie is great when you need a treat. I found it very easy to make. I did you use ff margerine, reduced fat peanut butter and also old fashioned oats. It was great to put a few in a bowl and add a little milk. Thanks for posting.
     
  3. This is a nice little cookie. Very dense and flavorful. (I can't help but wonder if it still needs to boil first when one substitutes Splenda. I did it though.) I had to compress my cookies by hand as the mixture was a bit crumbly. I suppose the oats chosen could make a difference. I used margarine...next time I'll use butter. Thanks for this recipe.
