directions

• Take cold cream cheese and mix with garlic to incorporate.
• Place in fridge and chill for 15 minutes (I found using cold cream cheese makes them easier to fill).
• Place 1 tsp filling in each wonton wrapper.
• Wet each square edge with the egg wash.
• Fold into triangles.
• Make sure to get all the air out when sealing or they will puff up to much in the hot oil.
• Freeze or fry in 450°F oil 6 at a time til golden brown.
• Serve with various dipping sauces.

1. We love these wontons!! I've made them twice now and each time everyone prefers these over the main meal. You really can't stop eating them, they're so good. :) I really like the cream cheese garlic combination. They are great by themselves (which is how we usually eat them) but paired with sweet and sour sauce like I had a couple nights ago they are extra delicious. You have to be sure to flip them often other wise one side won't get done equally and might break open spilling the cream cheese. Wonderful simple recipe! Thanks Jamilah!

2. These were so good!! Even after they were cold.... :). LOVE the cream cheese and garlic!! We ate them without sauce. made for ZWT6 by an Xtra Hottie. ***A WORD OF CAUTION*** DO NOT bust these in the hot grease!!! The filling spatters HOT GREASE EVERYWHERE!!!***

3. WOWEE! Where;s the 'mikkion star' button?!?! I could not stop eating these things, We dipped 'em in recipe #369969 and wolfed 'em down with nothing but yummy sounds in the background. I couldn't believe how easy they were to put together. Fried up an a flash too. I put my cream cheese mixture inthe freezer for a few minutes to make sure it was really chilled. I made a total of 14 wontons and we were qishing for more! Made for ZWT6 by a feloow Looney Spooner and will be making them again very soon.

4. Very good. Made them for our Superbowl party. I got 24 out of this recipe. I did make the soy sauce for dipping to go along with it. Very easy . I used water to close the wrappers instead of the egg whites.

5. Me and an entire batch...and didn't care who was around. Made to be paired with recipe #369969. Made for ZWT #6.

I found Zaar after I got married and it's been such a lifesaver and so much fun. I enjoy the games and DH and DS enjoy the food!I usually work as a surgical tech but since my son was born I moved into my new profession as a stay at home mom. It's a nice change I've been enjoying it and it gives me more time to COOK! I like to share recipes that I enjoy or have eaten at some of my fav places. I'm a San Diegan currently living in New York with my Husband and our 15month old Son. When I first came to zaar I recipe selected mostly 4 and 5 rated recipes but now after playing several games and seeing the different ways people review. I realize so many recipes miss a good chance. So now I just go by ingredients or a good idea and choose my recipes based on that. I've been lucky enough to grow up eating a variety of cuisines from various cultures and have eaten at some really great restaurants from hole in the wall to 5star. So I let my palate do the choosing and so far I've had pretty good luck picking recipes. I don't generally rate recipes by cooking time or exact measurement of ingredients unless it's a baking recipe or the temp and time were just way off. I also won't give a bad rating because of my lack of ingredients or skill. I don't measure when I cook unless it's baking. I give the recipe a good read and eyeball the amounts. This works for me. I know everyone has different tastes and I will be hard pressed to give a rating of 3 unless it just really didn't work for me. I don't see any reason to hurt anyone's feelings when I can just give a detailed review of my changes or no rating instead.
