Crispix Snack Mix

"This is similar to the Chex mix but I actually like it a little better. The original recipe calls for garlic and onion salt instead of powder and salted nuts, but I find that too salty."

  1. I’ve been making this forever. It’s highly addicting. Great around the holidays to have dishes out for nibbling. I add a dash or two of Tabasco too! Sometimes I use a mix of Chex cereals if I’m out of Crispix.

  2. I like the recipe with less salt as well, the pretzels and butter add just enough. I added some dijon mustard and franks red hot wing sauce this time because I wanted to make something spicy that wasn't as guilty as wings.. yummy can't wait to eat it, the pickings from the oven taste great so far.

  3. My mom used to make this for me as a kid. It's so much better than Chex mix! The only thing I change from the original recipe is that I add about 1 cup Cheez-Its to the mix and take out a little of the cereal. I highly recommend it!

  4. I've been using this recipe for years. I love the flavor -- better than Chex Mix!

  5. Found this on a Crispix box years ago and make it all the time. I prefer the tangy flavor that the lemon juice adds over the "traditional" chex mix recipe. Thanks for posting one of my favorite recipe - happy to know I can pull it up anytime I want from my favorite website!!

I am a full time Wife & Mother and wouldn't have it any other way! I don't spend as much time cooking as I once did because of health reasons. So am always looking for quick and easy recipes that don't scimp on flavor. My other passion is making Bobbin Lace.
