This soup is so good. I didn't puree it. I made half the recipe and it was enough for the 3 of us. I added dry basil. Thanks Scarrier :) Made for All you can cook buffet
Very good! I added freshly ground black pepper, and about 1/2 teaspoon sugar to the pot ~ made with half and half instead of heavy cream, and I garnished the soup with french fried onions! Made a tasty quick lunch; served with a toasted Swiss cheese sandwich.
Simple. Delicious. I made this to serve with grilled cheese during a meeting. I used crushed tomatoes. Don't need diced as you are going to blend them smooth anyway.
Maybe eight minutes with practice, but it took me a lot longer, partly because of a war with the blender. The soup, once finished, is very nice and doesn't taste like what you get in a can. My DH, who has a long history with tomato soup, took one look and made a grilled-cheese sandwich to go with it, a match made in heaven. Made for PAC.
