I havent tried this yet but the recipe is very similar to beer bread. I'm very curious about the outcome.

I acually did have to use as much soda. I added about 6 oz. The bread didn't turn out very smooth, more like a pizza crust and I just didn't like the sweetness of the bread. It would be a great recipe to add cinnamon to though.

My DH loved this bread, he said it was the zing from the pop. I did have to adjust the amount of pop in it. I put in the 7 oz and it wasn't enough to hardly stir it, added more, a little more...I have no idea how much (had a 2 ltr bottle) so I just kept pouring till it looked right. I put it in the pan and baked it for almost 40 minutes...this could've been an altitude thing, but over all the bread was well recieved and my 5 yr old girl loved that it had pop in it and had to make a point of telling everyone!!! Thanks for a fun and different recipe LAURIE!!!
