Really good source of bran.
- 1 (15 ounce) boxof all bran 100% all-bran cereal
- 5 cups flour
- 1 cup shortening, melted
- 3 cups sugar
- 1 quart buttermilk
- 5 teaspoons baking soda
- 4 eggs, beaten
- Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl.
- Bake in muffin tins on 400°F for 10 to 12 minutes.
- Store in air tight containers and refrigerate for up to 6 weeks.
I used a box of Raisin Bran cereal and the muffins were wonderful! They melt in your mouth, especially with a little butter on them when they are hot!
