5 Cup Salad

"Quick and easy and very, very good. Update- the recipe I submitted did not contain salad greens. Because of the title of the recipe, it accidentally got added. However, considering the rave reviews the recipe is getting, I'm not going to remove the salad greens from the ingredients list. Obviously it is delicious no matter which way you make it!! Enjoy! "

  1. Very quick and easy!! This makes a great summertime treat, but you could have it any time of the year. Another variation is to make it without the marshmallows and add a cup of pecans or walnuts instead. Both ways are delicious.

  2. Delicious! I added 1 cup of maraschino cherries to the fruit mixture and also a heaping 1/2 cup of pecans. I guess you could call mine 6-1/2 cup salad! The pecans are an inspired addition -- I'll always use them from now on. I did discover the fruit must be very well drained or else the sour cream gets soupy. I love how easy this is. Thanks for posting.

  3. Fun, delicious summer treat. Made it for a cookout and after the party was over, I looked to eat and little more of it and it was all gone. People are calling me for the recipe. Thanks!

  4. This is excellent. I used a mixture of the Yoghurt and sour cream and added a small can of fruit cocktail, drained. Yummy! Thanks!

  5. This was really good. I used plain fat-free yogurt and squirted some fresh lemon juice over the salad greens. I also threw in some blueberries and maraschino cherries:)
