    lazyme's Note:

    This is so good and so pretty! It's bright blue and the grenadine makes a bright red layer at the bottom of the glass! Be sure to serve it in a glass martini glass to get the great effect! I served this at our 4th party and received many raves. This is my first post - hope you like it.

    Ingredients:

    Servings:

    Units: US | Metric

    • 1 1/2 ounces vodka (I used Mezzaluna)
    • 1/2 ounce triple sec
    • 1/2 ounce blue curacao
    • 1/2 ounce prepared sweet-and-sour mix
    • 1 dash grenadine (I used the liqueur not the syrup)

    Directions:

    1. 1
      Mix all ingredients except grenadine in shaker and chill.
    2. 2
      Pour into martini glass.
    3. 3
      Add grenadine and it will sink to bottom.

      Wow! This drink really got me into the 4th of July spirit! After a couple of these, I was feeling no pain. I loved the orange flavor from the blue curacao and triple sec. This was almost too pretty to drink...so I drank two of them :) Thank you for sharing this wonderful recipe.

      I too made this recipe last night to test it for today's 4th of July festivities..... It was fantastic! I didn't have blue curacao so I used Triple Sec and blue food coloring. Great in a pinch.
