Incredibly rich and chocolaty drink! It was so smooth and velvety, almost like having dessert in drink form. I made mine completely on the stove top, over low heat at first to make sure everything dissolved properly and then I turned up the heat. It was really good but I didn't try it with the cinnamon this time around. Will definitely have to the next time I make it. Thanks for sharing! Made for Zaar Cookbook Tag.

Very rich and chocolaty. It is like drinking chocolate velvet. A small cup is all that is needed but what a tasty little drink for after a meal instead of a dessert. Made for TYM tag

Wow ... This is for hardcore chocolate lovers ONLY! Mine turned out like the photo 2bleu took and tasted like the outcome of puting a pan of brownies in a juicer. I didnt have the dark chocolate discs, so I used dark chocolate cocoa powder, two tablespoons of oil, a few more tablespoons of sugar, 2% instead of half and half, and a pinch of salt. MAYBE it was because of my cocoa powder, but it was super thick! Took care of my chocolate craving for until next month! lol Thank you 2bleu

A bona fide pleaser. Very thick and incredibly tasty. More than a beverage...I'd classify this as a dessert! The cinnamon tips this over to gourmet. Made for PRMR.

It *is* chocolate lava! LOL! It bubbles in the pan with the consistency of lava, and it kinda felt like it when I took a large sip too soon while it was still extremely hot. This is *so* delicious! I added about 1/8 tsp. of vanilla and a very small pinch of salt to add some depth....I just had plain Hershey's cocoa so I wanted to help it along. Also, I just put everything in a small saucepan at one time--didn't even preheat the half-n-half--whisked briskly until everything was incorporated and the chocolate chips melted--and it worked fine. Nothing scorched. I didn't even crush the chips beforehand. This is a fantastic way to start the day, and so much better than going out to Starbucks, whom I think had a product like this at one time. I wonder what it would taste like with just a pinch of instant coffee or espresso added to it. Mmmm..... FWIW, I used fat-free half and half. That brought the calories down to 440 per serving.
