2bleu Cups of Chocolate Lava Please!

Imagine a warm chocolate waterfall sliding over your tongue and down your mouth, warming your tummy and your heart. This is *REAL* hot chocolate like you've never tasted before. This is hot drinking chocolate,.. divine and addicting. Created by Bird for Buddha. ;)

• Prep Time: 2 mins
• Cook Time: 5 mins

Ingredients:

Servings: 2

• ½ cup sugar
• ¼ cup semisweet chocolate morsel
• ½ cup european style unsweetened cocoa powder
• 1 teaspoon cornstarch
• 1 ½ cups half-and-half , warmed
• 1 dash ground cinnamon , for garnish during the holidays (optional)

Directions:

1. To a food processor, blend sugar and chocolate discs to a fine crumble or powder.
2. Add cocoa powder and cornstarch, blending well. Slowly pour in warm half & half to blend.
3. Pour into a small saucepan and simmer (gentle boil) over medium heat. Using a whisk, stir slowly and consistantly until thickened (about 5 minutes).
4. Pour into small coffee cups (tea cups), add a sprinkle of cinnamon if desired, and serve. Sip carefully as it will be hot!

Incredibly rich and chocolaty drink! It was so smooth and velvety, almost like having dessert in drink form. I made mine completely on the stove top, over low heat at first to make sure everything dissolved properly and then I turned up the heat. It was really good but I didn't try it with the cinnamon this time around. Will definitely have to the next time I make it. Thanks for sharing! Made for Zaar Cookbook Tag.

Very rich and chocolaty.It is like drinking chocolate velvet. A small cup is all that is needed but what a tasty little drink for after a meal instead of a dessert. Made for TYM tag

MUCH too rich for me, but DH loved it! (He drank mine too lol) Loved the addition of the cinnamon though!
