Yet another smoothie/milkshake experiment gone well. Yea, I love cottage cheese, you can tell.
- 1 banana
- 1⁄2 cup peach
- 1 cup skim milk
- 1⁄3 cup cottage cheese
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- Splenda sugar substitute, to taste
- Blend together.
I really enjoyed this and could definitely taste the cottage cheese.
I made up a smoothie today for my sister and this was more or less what I made. Mine had slightly less milk and didn't have almond extract. I thought it tasted great, but my sister wouldn't drink it after she learned it had cottage cheese in it (which you could _not_ taste). I didn't add any sweetener.
I modified this slightly I used pears instead of peaches & don't care for almond extract so used coconut instead about 1/2 tsp each, no sugar as it was sweet enough, made for my toddler DD who devoured this, a great way to get an extra serve of dairy, what a great idea!
