We were re-doing our kitchen at the time, so I was without an oven and needed a no-bake chocolate dessert recipe. This recipe fit the bill and turned out great. I added a dash of cayenne and a sprinkle of crushed red pepper to give it a little kick.
I made this recipe when a pregnancy-induced chocolate craving hit me during a horrid heatwave. I'm not sure what I love about it more -- The fact that I didn't have to heat up the kitchen making it, the simplicity of the recipe itself, the rapid set time, or the amazing taste! This recipe is now one of my quick junk-food staples! Wonderful stuff!
Just didn't work for us. Maybe because we used reduced fat peanut butter? If I try again, it will be full-fat, maybe that will make a difference.
