Delicious! Best whole wheat bread I have ever made! I did not think it tasted eggy at all, but was lighter and fluffier than other whole wheat bread while still being sliceable. I did substitute honey for the brown sugar, and 2 teaspoons regular yeast for the bread machine yeast cuz that's all I had. I also took it out of the machine after kneading for a final rise and then baked it in the oven as I don't like how the bread machine bakes but am too lazy/busy to knead it myself. I'm making this my new regular bread recipe, thanks so much!
Excellent 100% whole wheat. It raised nicely, had a nice texture and crumb. I didn't have flax seeds so I used fennel seeds instead. Great recipe!
Compared to other 100% ww breads on this site, it's a bit egg-y for my tastes. Bread was wet--not like it was underbaked, but just extra moist.
Very nice loaf of bread. It was light and just the right amount of "chewiness". This was the best loaf of bread I have ever made in the bread machine.
Best whole wheat bread we ever tasted! This was easy to make and came out perfect. Great texture, not too dense and not too light, and we could slice it pretty thin without it falling apart. The flavor was excellent--just a hint of sweetness from the brown sugar. The 2nd time I made it, I added 1/2 cup of oat bran for extra nutrition and it still had a great texture, flavor and moistness. BEST EVER!!!
