"Nicely spiced and not difficult to make. I use a little gadget for making perogies that cuts the circle, folds the pastry in half once the meat is in and crimps the edges (great investment of two bucks!). They turn out smaller, but are a good size for an appetizer. I serve these with a commercial Jerk barbecue sauce."

"These meat pies are so good, easy to make, and travel well. Be careful with the hot peppers; Scotch bonnets are super spicy. To make these kid friendly, we usually don't add the peppers until just before filling, setting aside some plain filling for the sensitive mouths. These are really good with pineapple coleslaw. I got this recipe from..."

"A Caribbean take on a classic. Super quick with less fat and calories than a traditional Quiche Lorraine. The flour mimics the 'body' of the traditional Quiche. The mild, flavourful, Trinidad Capsicum chinense peppers breathe new life into an old favourite. These peppers are a uniquely flavoured habenero with an almost undetectable heat. Locally..."

Once we got together and he tried mine, he fell in love all over again and now has me making these at least once or twice a month. My son thinks these are fantastic too and they are big enough to fill him up at dinner time with just one..."
