"This recipe uses a biga it's a pre-fermented dough that the French call a pate fermentee. It's started with a bit of yeast, and allowed to work for several hours. The advantage of making a biga is that because it ferments for a long time, which adds flavor and character to the bread.
These are best eaten when fresh, although a few minutes..."

"In this bread I used Winey Garlic - Oven or Crock Pot and Fat Free (made in a crockpot). This is very easy and oh so tasty!!!! Be sure to have help eating this or you'll eat the whole thing!"

"This is a pretty reddish orange colored bread. Sweet and tasty. You can use store bought sun dried tomatoes in oil with herbs and garlic which gives the bread lots of flavor and a wonderful aroma. Leftovers makes great toast, croutons a savory bread pudding, grilled and brushed with garlic oil."

"This is the best Cinnamon Raisin Bread I've ever had! It really has a great consistency and smells WONDERFUL while baking. I made this for the first time about a year ago and since it makes 3 loaves, I gave one to my neighbor. Now she asks for it constantly and since it is so fun to make, I oblige her, plus I get to keep the other 2 loaves!"

"Adapted from the cookbook Big Book of Bread Machine Recipes. I make this *dense* (meaning not high rising) bread in the cold months and serve with a hearty stew or soup. Not too sour a loaf of bread either as some black bread can be."
