"Rudy loves these eggs basted hard. They are a cross between poached and fried. You can cook them to your preference; I like basted soft myself, served with toast. You need a fry pan with a lid, glass is best, so you can watch for doneness."

"A great side dish to chicken or fish. Also perfect as a dessert; feel free to add scoop of ice cream. I have actually cooked these on high heat in a frying pan with great results as well! "you can do this with pre-made french bread if you're short on time but i really think it's worth it to do this from start to finish on a lazy afternoon. goes beautifully with pasta or a nice light cream soup. i use my own homemade butter for this (possibly because i'm crazy). if you want to do that it's really easy: just take whipping..."
