"This recipe has been lost for years and I have just found it, my Dad was the cook in the family growing up and my sister and I always loved this simple and delicious stew. Very kid friendly and flexible. Would be great for OAMC( you could use frozen meatballs)and could be adapted to a crockpot, would double or triple easily. Enjoy"

"I found this recipe on the back of Gold Medal "Best for Bread" flour, which credits it to Rose Levy Beranbaum's book "The Bread Bible". Easy to make and the potential add-ins are endless. My favorite is adding a head of roasted garlic. A very hearty bread. Prep time includes dough rising."

"Found on bunch carrots from Siri Produce Inc. in Oregon. DON'T use those awful "baby carrots" from the grocery store. Whole carrots (small-medium sized) and organic are best. If the carrots are small leave whole but if they are medium-sized cut in half lengthwise. If your carrots are good quality they don't need to be peeled. Recipe..."
