"This is a bit spicy so you may want to decrease the pepper flakes and add more at the end for taste. I made this for a pot-luck Chinese dinner that is why the serving size is for 8. Can be cut in half. Delicious over Chinese white rice."

"I don't recall where this recipe came from, but I've had it for many years. Great taste. I usually manage to have it half gone before it's time to serve. The beans can be left whole (for effect) or cut - it's your choice. Note that the marinating time is very important, and is included in the cooking time."

"Try something new with tonight's green breans. This is a very easy side dish and a nice change from the traditional. Top with a sprinkle of breadcrumbs if desired! Also, I double the spices when cooking for my husband."

"This is such a tasty, fresh way to serve green beans! Very quick and simple; it can even be made a day ahead. The kiddos will eat it up! I have an aunt who requests that I bring this every Thanksgiving. I originally got this recipe from Parenting magazine. If you want to prepare ahead of time, just fully prepare as directed then cover and refrigerate...."
