"This is a very thick chili. The bulgur almost takes on the colour, form/texture of ground meat. Excellent with fresh bread and a garden salad or as a meal itself. Freezes/reheats well. From Meal Lean i Yumm!"

"Flavorful, filling, healthy and delicious, this is more colorful and interesting than basic beans and rice...kidneys, black beans, garbanzos, spices and a dollop of peanut butter make this dish awesome, and it's easy to make! Seems a bit thicker than a stew to me. Oh, and my toddler loves it!"

"This healthy Moroccan tagine is delicious, with chickpeas, sweet potatoes and apricots. Even though I cook for two I make the full amount because, as with many such dishes, the leftovers are scrummy the next day. Originated with WW, developed by me ;) Spices are dried and ground, as tis winter - add more/less of them as pleases you."

"This is a Rachael Ray recipe that I've been dying to try. I love the taste of chickpeas (also called garbanzo beans) and they are so full of protein and good things. You can also spice it up a bit with a few dashes of ground cumin, curry powder, or cayenne pepper in the chickpea mixture."

"This is a great alternative to meatloaf or burgers. You may need to play with the volume of bread crumb/oat/wheat germ to get desired consistency for forming into burgers. Only thing to remember is this timely to make from dried beans.
It tastes great and I am not vegetarian."
