"After a discussion on the boards, I decided to post this recipe. Even non-garlic heads will love it. I serve with a nice crusty bread to sop up the juices and spread the cooked garlic on. This recipe comes from the American Diabetes Assoc., so you know that in addition to having a to die for taste - it's good for you."

"Came from the Better Home and Garden's Meat Stretcher cookbook. It's kinda like hamburger helper for people who can't have pasta. This is my husband's favorite thing for me to make. I regularly use a can of white kernel corn (never tried yellow) instead of two cans garbanzo beans but would recommend trying all garbanzo beans first."

"I used to cook this in the oven before I had a crock-pot. For the oven: cook it in a covered dish for 1 1/2 to 2 hours at 300F or until the chicken is cooked and tender. Serve with rice and cooked or steamed vegetables. If you don't like to use the whole spices, substitute them with ground. The lemon and chilies are not authentic to this Jewish-Indian..."

"This is similar enough to swiss steak to be comforting, but different enough not to be boring. I often substitute freshly minced garlic for the garlic powder. Serve with mashed potatoes and a green vegetable; I prefer green beans with this."

"This is a quick & easy way of using up the leftover cabbage from Easy Cabbage Rolls my Easy Cabbage Rolls. For a more economical meal, use bone-in chicken pieces but cook a little longer. Serve with steamed rice and/or crusty bread to mop up the sauce."
