"My family looovess these rice balls and they are often requested at get togethers. A simple recipe. It can be served as an entree with the salmon or the salmon can be left out. Make sure to wet your hands in water so the rice does not stick to your hands."

"Delicious, low-fat and really quick to make appetisers - they can be ready in less than 20 minutes. Or they can be fully prepared ahead, and assembled when you are ready to serve them. And it's a recipe that can easily be doubled. I found this recipe in the November 2005 issue of the Australian magazine 'Table: easy family food for everyday..."

"Nice little healthy dish I knocked up that came out well. Has a fair bit of room for varying ingredients depending on what you have on hand, but try to keep the soy and sweet chilli sauce because it does quickly marinate into the other ingredients well. "Crispy puff pastry easily shaped into cases and filled with tuna, spring onions, garlic, capers, dill and sour cream. Quantities are so easily varied in a recipe such as this one, so do add more or less sour cream, depending on how creamy you'd like your Tuna Puff Pies to be, and the appropriate amount of cayenne pepper if you want them to have..."

"My sister's boyfriend made awesome shrimp ceviche for our Thanksgiving dinner. The raw shrimp turned pink as they "cooked" in the lime juice. The juice also cooks the onions and the other ingredients. He mentioned that you can also make ceviche using store-bought, canned tuna. The tuna's already cooked, but the taste is the same...."

"An entrée dish with which to celebrate the beginning of the Chinese Year of the Dog. The won tons can be prepared ahead, to the end of step three. This recipe is from the February 2006 issue of the Australian 'Family Circle'. The dog is the eleventh sign in the Chinese zodiac and is symbolic of loyalty and protection against evil."

"ZWT6 Norway. Recipe by Grace Parisi from http://www.foodandwine.com. Smoked salmon could be considered the most important Norwegian contribution to modern international cuisine. Smoked salmon exists traditionally in many varieties, and is often served with scrambled eggs, dill, sandwiches or mustard sauce. Here is a beautiful tea sandwich."

"This is a wonderful last minute or make ahead and freeze appetizer (they can be frozen up to 1 month). The recipe comes from The Canadian Living Christmas Book.
Cooking time is time in freezer (must freeze for at least 4 hours)."
