    Kitchen Dictionary: granola

    Commonly known as muesli. Once known as the “hippie’ foods of the 60’s. Having a long history dating back to the early 1700’s. Granola is a breakfast food consisting of different grains, mainly oats and nuts. Granola is usually baked until crispy. Dried fruits are usually added to the mixture, such as raisins and cherries or dates. Oil and honey are sometimes added by the manufacturer to give it sweetness and texture, but have more calories added to them.
