    Kitchen Dictionary: creme de menthe

    Pronounced: krehm deuh MENTH; MAHNT

    Creme de menthe is a very sweet mint flavored liqueur. It come in two versions, green and white (clear). There is no noticeable flavor difference between the two. When a recipe calls for creme de menthe, the white variety is usually the correct one to use.
